The Dravens aren’t your normal family. There’s something off about them. Everyone says so; though they live in a beautiful home, drive expensive cars, and pay their HOA fees on time.Actually, the Dravens fit right in.Penelope is a middle-aged, librarian. An extremely dangerous, middle-aged, librarian, mind you, who plans to kill her cheating husband Leo on their eighteenth wedding anniversary. After he’s dead—if she can kill him—and he’s so powerful, she’s not entirely certain that she can, she’ll bounce, and start all over with their seventeen-year-old daughter Clementine. But Leo knows exactly what he married, and he’s fast-tracked plans for his own little “do-over.”As for Clementine, she’s basking in both first love, and an abundance of college acceptance letters, and she’s most unwilling to torch her life forever, just to go on the lam with her mom.Something’s gotta give in this family full of monsters……preferably before the pitchfork wielding townsfolk arrive.
Trigger Warning:
This book contains cursing, graphic violence, abuse and murder. All the sex in this book is consensual, even where questionable judgment brings unforeseen consequences. There are brief mentions of both a prior rape and a prior attempted rape.
DRAWN TO YOU
DRAWN TO YOU is a psychological thriller
about obsession. You can't always get what you want.
Or maybe you can...
...Depending on how far you're willing to go,
and who you're willing to hurt
to get it
Her perfect life isn't perfect
Ruby Deardon has youth, beauty, talent and riches, and she's a syndicated cartoonist-- which was her childhood dream job. Despite all that, the last time she remembers being truly happy was back in college with Sean.Mr. & Mrs. Sean ChaplinHonestly, she's besotted with the man, but not in a cute, Rom Com way. More in a, "Hey, Soulmate! Gimme a drop of your blood to wear in a pendant 'round my neck!" way.Mr. & Mrs. Deliriously HappyAfter nine years of bad relationships and endless daydreams about the most perfect life she and Sean could've, would've, should've had together, Ruby finally seizes the day, uproots her successful life, and moves back to her college town, determined to land him....Only to meet a nightmare named Jeremy first. Apparently, Ruby's long been the object of his obsessions, and by moving back, she's centered herself right in his crosshairs.True Love Hurts
...and hurts, and hurts, and hurts...
Please Note...
This book is a Psychological Thriller, not a Romance.

HAUNT
Haunt is my first attempt at writing horror,
but it won't be my last.
I set out to capture the terrifying craziness of childhood
in the 1970s
when you're biracial and you live in the South,
and then you fold in addiction, violence, opposing religious beliefs
and a haunted house.
...For spice.
To sum up:
Haunt is a dark book about growing up scared in a mad, violent house
with parents who should be keeping you safe, but aren't.
Some new beginnings are really dead ends
Virginia, 1978
The Stewart family is imploding.Mae's a Fundamentalist Christian, Pete's an atheist, and together, they're raising three very confused little girls. In a last ditch effort to save their marriage, they move their family into a brand-new house
in a brand-new subdivision, hoping for a brand-new start.Instead, they discover that they're not alone in their new home. Something malevolent walks alongside them, feeding off their trauma and feasting on their fears.Pete's in denial, but Mae understands the truth......it's after their children.
Please note:
Child abuse, addiction, and religion (and the lack thereof) are HUGE themes in this book. Demons, ghosts, possession, angels, faith and belief, speaking in tongues, misogyny, abuse-of-power in the church--it's ALL THERE. A smorgasbord.
Trigger Warnings:
This book contains cursing, strong religious themes, supernatural horror, sexual assault, off-page animal abuse, and graphic seen-on-the-page physical, emotional, and verbal child abuse
About Me
I'm Ren.Bookworm, writer, optimist, introvert, animal lover.
After a lifetime spent reading horror novels, I've decided to try my hand at writing them.
Who knew such darkness lurked in my soul?
(I did. I totally did).I live in the muggy, South Eastern United States with my family and our menagerie, but
I hope to move North at some point in the near future because, hey, with climate change, if I move inland a bit, I might still end up on the coast! And after living in an endless summer, seasons would be WONDERFUL.
